Harvest Colors Floral Workshop

On September 27, 2025, Bloom Together Arts Foundation hosted a floral design workshop at a church in Fremont, bringing together participants of all ages to celebrate the beauty of the autumn season.

Using yellow roses, hydrangeas, miniature pumpkins, and other seasonal materials, participants created arrangements inspired by the warm colors and abundance of fall. The combination of flowers and harvest elements added a festive and welcoming spirit to each design.

One of the most memorable aspects of the workshop was the diversity of participants. Ages ranged from six-year-old children to grandmothers in their sixties, creating a joyful environment where generations could learn, create, and share together.

Filled with creativity, laughter, and meaningful connections, the workshop demonstrated how floral art can bring people of different ages and backgrounds together through a shared appreciation of beauty and community.

Harvest Moon Festival Floral Art Experience

Bloom Together Arts Foundation participated in the Harvest Moon Festival at California State University, Sacramento on September 21, 2025, sharing the joy of floral art with festival attendees.

Despite the unusually warm weather, participants embraced the spirit of creativity by designing playful floral arrangements inspired by ice cream treats. Using flowers, foliage, and imagination, they transformed seasonal materials into colorful creations that reflected the fun and festive atmosphere of the event.

The floral activity attracted visitors of different ages and backgrounds, offering an opportunity to explore art, connect with others, and celebrate community traditions in a creative way.

Filled with laughter, creativity, and artistic expression, the event demonstrated how flowers can bring people together and inspire joy, even on the hottest days of the season.

Summer Floral Design Workshop

On June 28, 2025, Bloom Together Arts Foundation hosted a floral design workshop at a church in Fremont, welcoming both returning participants and many new faces from the community.

Using gladiolus, baby's breath, and seasonal greenery, participants explored the art of floral design through hands-on creative expression. The elegant lines of the gladiolus combined with the delicate texture of baby's breath created arrangements that were both graceful and vibrant.

The workshop provided a welcoming space for people to learn, connect, and create together. Many first-time participants joined the event, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the gathering.

Spring Branches & Connections 

April  12, 2025  Milpitas  California 

On April 12, 2025, Bloom Together Arts Foundation hosted a floral design workshop featuring flowering willow branches and pussy willow, celebrating the beauty and energy of spring.

Participants explored the natural movement, texture, and seasonal character of these unique branches while creating their own floral arrangements. The graceful lines of the flowering willow and the soft texture of the pussy willow inspired a variety of creative designs.

One of the most heartwarming aspects of the workshop was the sense of friendship and connection it fostered. Several participants invited friends to join them, and one attendee brought her 70-year-old mother, creating a wonderful opportunity for different generations to share a creative experience together.

Flowers, Friendship & Community

March 8, 2025 • Milpitas, California

On March 8, 2025, Bloom Together Arts Foundation hosted a floral design workshop that brought together friends, neighbors, classmates, and community members through the shared joy of flowers.

Using cheerful daisies and elegant tulips, participants created spring-inspired arrangements filled with color and creativity. One participant even brought blooming wisteria from her own garden, adding a personal touch and a beautiful seasonal element to the workshop.

The gathering welcomed people from different backgrounds and generations, including two neighbors in their seventies. A classmate from founder Hongyin Zhang's glass art course also joined the workshop, and several longtime friends unexpectedly met while arranging flowers, making the event feel like a joyful reunion.

More than a floral design class, the workshop became a celebration of friendship, creativity, and community connection. Through flowers, conversation, and shared experiences, participants created not only beautiful arrangements but also meaningful memories together.

Flowers, Books & Friendship

February 22, 2025 • Milpitas, California

On February 22, 2025, Bloom Together Arts Foundation hosted a floral design workshop centered around creativity, friendship, and lifelong learning.

Before the workshop, several participants joined instructor Hongyin Zhang on a flower-shopping trip, selecting fresh materials together and learning how to choose flowers for floral arrangements. The group then shared a roast duck lunch, where conversations naturally turned to books, ideas, and recent reading discoveries. The exchange of thoughts and experiences made the gathering especially meaningful.

Using vibrant orange ranunculus and delicate acacia branches, participants created floral arrangements that reflected the warmth and energy of the season. The combination of rich color, natural texture, and creative expression inspired a variety of unique designs.

More than an art workshop, the event became a celebration of community, learning, and connection. Through flowers, conversation, and shared experiences, participants enjoyed a memorable day filled with creativity, friendship, and inspiration.

Lunar New Year Community Fair

January 25, 2025 • Elk Grove, California

Bloom Together Arts Foundation participated in the Elk Grove Lunar New Year Community Fair on January 25, 2025, sharing the beauty of floral art with the local community.

Although the weather was unusually cold and everyone bundled up in winter coats, the festive atmosphere brought warmth and excitement throughout the day. Visitors stopped by to learn about floral design, admire the arrangements, and celebrate the Lunar New Year together.

One of the highlights of the event was reconnecting with a participant from a previous Milpitas floral workshop. It was a joyful reminder that the friendships built through Bloom Together continue long after a workshop ends.

Through community outreach, flowers, and meaningful conversations, the event celebrated not only the Lunar New Year but also the lasting connections that art can create.

New Year in Bloom

January 11, 2025 • Milpitas, California

On January 11, 2025, Bloom Together Arts Foundation welcomed the new year with a festive floral design workshop held between New Year's Day and Lunar New Year.

Participants created vibrant arrangements featuring traditional red flowers, including red roses and kalanchoe, symbolizing joy, happiness, and good fortune for the year ahead. Bold xanadu leaves added dramatic structure and movement, creating striking designs that combined seasonal celebration with artistic expression.

Inspired by both Western and Eastern New Year traditions, participants explored color, balance, and creativity while designing their own unique arrangements. The rich reds and sculptural foliage reflected hopes for prosperity, growth, and new beginnings.

Filled with creativity, conversation, and festive spirit, the workshop offered a joyful opportunity to welcome the year through flowers, friendship, and community.
